Canyon National Recreation Area is home to the many-fingered
Lake Powell. You 'll find plenty of room to enjoy backcountry
hiking, camping, boating and fishing at this expansive reservoir.
Lake Havasu and the surrounding wilderness
have many great places to boat, fish, ski, hike, camp and view
wildlife. You can also find the famous London Bridge
at Lake Havasu City.
If you're looking for a little more water be sure
to check out Lake Mead, a 1.5 million acre reservoir
formed by the impressive Hoover Dam. Lake Mead is a haven
for people who love boating, fishing, camping or hiking.

Escape
to the White Mountains, a recreation paradise, via Greer
(in the heart of the mountains) or Snowflake, Arizona.
Snowflake is a unique town bordered by the White Mountains to
the north and by the Painted Desert to the south. The
White Mountains offer great camping, hiking, hunting, fishing
and skiing opportunities. In the Painted Desert you can find
the Petrified Forest, petroglyphs and Indian ruins.
Located in the Cococino National Forest,
just north of Flagstaff, you'll find the Arizona Snowbowl
and Flagstaff Nordic Center. In the winter it is a mecca
for downhill and cross-country skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoers.
Enjoy horseback riding, hiking, and scenic skyrides in the summer.
Arizona's
desert lands are home to many awe-inspiring ancient Indian
ruins that would make an interesting RV tour. Or you might
just want to check out one or two of these places while you're
enjoying other fun activities in the area.
In southern and central Arizona you'll find Casa
Grande Ruins National Monument, Agua Fria N.M., and Tonto N.M.
Northern Arizona is home to Wupatki NM, Walnut Canyon NM, Tuzigoot
NM, Montezuma Castle NM, Navajo NM, and Canyon de Chelly NM
Of course, the majestic Grand Canyon in
the northwest part of the state is always a crowd pleaser. There
you'll find breathtaking panoramas and unique recreation opportunities.
Hike or take a mule ride to the bottom of the canyon, or walk
the rim and take in the awe-inspiring vistas.
